Notes from nowhere much

In case anyone’s been wondering, I have had several projects — including a couple of essais to post here — on the go, but all that was interrupted a week ago when I began suffering a massive, continuous, debilitating headache. Made an appointment to see my GP, but that’s not until this coming Tuesday. Tried all sorts of things to relieve it, but the only thing that really works well is Tylenol with codeine.

With luck, my doctor will be able to treat the underlying condition, whatever it is (these headaches are NOT my usual migraines), and I’ll be able to get some serious writing done in the last part of the month.

That is all, for now.

Thank you. I’m feeling somewhat better now thanks to the Tylenukes, but I still want to find out what’s causing the pain and deal with that.

I don't know if this is going to be any help, but in my experience violent and debilitating headaches can have something to do with digestion and blood flow. I have actually managed to get relief from them in the past by lying down with my stomach double covered by a warm blanket, encouraging it to work, and even napping a bit when I felt sleepy. It took half an hour to an hour to work, but it gave real relief.

Other than that, you are in my prayer. I have a nasty condition myself right now, but yours is worse.

This seems to have more to do with jaw and neck spasms. A few days ago I tried lying down with a warm blanket, and the pain simply increased to the point where I couldn’t sleep. It was then that I discovered Irish whiskey (taken as a muscle relaxant) gave temporary relief; but I can’t afford to go on a bender till Tuesday.
